Currently I am Co-Director of zingHOUSEunlimited, a lifestyle design enterprise and network offering a range of services linked to contemporary cultural production and cultural research. I am also engaged with the nudgelbah institute as a cultural geographer. That institute's purpose is to be network of research networks and to be a diverse vehicle through which place oriented scholarship and cultural endeavours can be acknowledged, honoured and promoted.... I make this submission against my background and the experiences I have gained as: 

• A practicing designer-maker with 50 years experience in the field; 

• A past studio manager, trainer and teacher in the field at Sturt Workshops Mittagong – 1969-84; •

• A Tasmanian State government public servant employed by the Tasmanian Arts Advisory Board as its Senior Project Officer Visual Arts & Crafts – 1984 -86; 

• A past member professional organisations relevant to my field/s of practice; 

• An Art School lecturer at the University of Tasmania – 1986 -95 and Chairperson of the UTAS University Gallery and Art School Research Committees;

• A research associate and Adjunct Lecturer Southern Cross University Lismore – 1996-2001

• A member of the Queen Victoria Museum & Art Gallery reference group and Later QVMAG Governance Advisory Board –2010-14;

• An independent researcher and studio practitioner – 1997-current
